In an effort to maintain focus, I will discuss here the aspects of me that pertain to this blog. I am a 32 year old recovering alcoholic. I have been sober, continuously, since August 25,2001. I feel I finally have something to say and believe that this is an appropriate forum by which to do this. I am a member of a 12-step program, and will be discussing my views on this at depth. I am a loving husband, devoted father and a humble servant of God. I will be discussing God, my views on spirituality, including religion. I will also venture into the subjects we don't want to discuss in meetings, or might be afraid to talk about, I feel that once something is brought into the light it is far less powerful. The is going to be controversy, sometimes  will write things you either don't agree with or don't understand. You should know that what I write is based not on opinion but rather my sober experience and as a result it is irrefutable, I have witnessed it and thus it is a part of me, my perspective on it may change, in fact sometimes the mere act of writing about it has altered it. I talk about how long I am sober because it helps you to understand my unique perspective, unique because it is seen through the eyes of someone who got sober on 8-25-2001, that date is not significant, but my place in line on the path is.
